Father Elias Polomski – The Wings of God

Father Elias, Robert Michael Polomski, has produced a series of icons, triptychs, illuminated manuscripts, mandalas and prayer towers which represent visual meditations on universal spiritual themes such as Enlightenment, Transfiguration, the Tree of Life and Paradise. As an artist and priest, he draws on the ancient and perennial wisdom of mysticism, be it Buddhist, Egyptian, Sufi or Christian, and his work celebrates the unity of all religions.

Mike Hipwell and Darren Rumley - WaterPower

Waterpower is a sound installation specifically designed for the courtyard of the Caerbladon Gallery by the Malmesbury sound artist, Mike Hipwell and featuring a water sculpture by Stroud based Darren Rumley.  “WaterPower” uses the recorded sounds of the rivers and streams of Malmesbury, taking in the ebb and flow of the seasons which in the studio are then combined with composed and performed music.  Harnessing the natural strength and power of water is at the root of the growth in importance of Malmesbury, in the Middle Ages known as Caer Bladon, or “stronghold on the river Bladon”.
