I proposed an afrocentric art exhibition, “Ancestral Futures”. The exhibition would be centred around a selection of digital paintings that showcase the rich heritage of the African people, our history and our pride. I aim to offer a fresh perspective on Africa by challenging overly simplistic and negative representations of the continent and its diverse peoples and cultures, whilst helping visitors connect with their ancestors.

HAM, commonly known as ‘HAM the Illustrator, is a creative director and award-winning illustrator based in South London. Known for being a multimedia storyteller, he uses a range of mediums across art, music, and tech to create stories that entertain, challenge and inspire.

HAM has worked with a variety of clients across the globe to engage new and existing audiences in more equitable and impactful ways including some of the world's leading brands and organisations, such adidas, Nike, Sony Music, Warner Music, Atlantic Records, Yo! MTV Raps, and The Royal Opera House. The highlight of his career so far was winning the Immersive Opera Award in 2019 for creating "Munkination"; an immersive virtual reality trap-opera adventure story about humanity and climate change built in partnership with Think Film Impact Productions, Visualise, Audience Labs, and The Royal Opera House.

HAM's work has been featured in various publications, including Highsnobiety, ItsNiceThat, COP26, Cannes Film Festival, and The Beyond Conference, to name a few. Despite the recognition, HAM is always happy to share their work with others and hopefully inspire them in some way.

Whether creating illustrations, directing music videos, or developing brand identities, HAM's ultimate goal is to create beautiful and meaningful work that have a positive impact on the world.
