On 7 November 2023 street artists Butong Idar and Nano Warsono from Jogja Disability Arts in Indonesia came to Malmesbury with Andrew Bolton, a disabled street artist from Community Murals in Cardiff. Jogja Disability Arts supports artists and creative producers in music and the visual arts, disabled artists who have the same vision and mission to empower others, and to show society that we should value and respect disability rights and equality.

The artists presented their work to Year 12 students at Malmesbury School, the Public Living Room in Malmesbury Library and other local residents at the Town Hall.

From mid-November we will be showing an outdoor exhibition of designs created by the disabled Indonesian street artists, which will be realised as murals in Cardiff and Bristol. We find the work inspiring and beautiful, and we would like to build on this exciting intercultural collaboration between the UK and Indonesia.
