Through his art, Javi uses his creativity as a medium for storytelling, exploring visual definitions of beauty. He loves the challenge in creating pieces of art that transcend time and experimenting with different historical eras and art genres.

He paints mainly in oils on hard surfaces, such as board or canvas board, so he can use techniques like scoring, scratching or rubbing to createdifferent textural effects. In his quest to deconstruct beauty he uses seductive, alluring classical or iconic cultural figures and repurposes them to create contemporary works.
